The Lodge

The Ozark Wilderness Lodge was completed in the fall of 2000.  We have specially designed our facilities to accommodate group camps of up to 40 people as well as individual guests. It is our intention to offer you the opportunity to realize your outdoor adventure goals.

Our Lodge facilities offer full bed and board accommodations for individuals, couples and groups.

Our Cabin can sleep up to 8 people.  The Cabin has a complete kitchen and laundry facilities of its own.

We can help you plan your outdoor adventure by offering guides, equipment rentals or just advice.  We even have pasture available for guests with their own horses or mules and a separate kennel facility for dogs.

Our meals are specially designed to meet your needs. We even offer selections of wild game meals (subject to availability, of course).

Bob & Alison Hardin

Bob is a career martial artist and we met through Taekwondo. As active people, we have always enjoyed the outdoors and we selected this area as a choice vacation spot several years ago. We wanted a spot off the beaten trail where we could come to hike, backpack, canoe, fish, hunt, rappel, etc. Nothing we found compared with the scenic beauty and abundant nature of the Ozarks.

We designed and built the Lodge after deciding to retire to the Ozarks in 1999. Retirement is relative - we currently run our martial arts association and ranch here in the Ozarks.  In designing the Lodge, we anticipated hosting small groups who share our interests.

Alison is the cook and enjoys gardening. She raises an abundance of spring, summer and fall vegetables which we serve during season.  Both of us enjoy collecting wild plants such as berries, poke salat and bear grass which Alison can cook up into some pretty tasty dishes.

Bob runs the ranch and likes to hunt.  We enjoy the homegrown beef and wild game.  Both of us also enjoy bass fishing and try to keep the freezer stocked with plenty of bass for a fish fry for our guests.  Everyone who visits seems to agree that you eat well and play hard at the ranch!
